VF-17A Spaceship

Texturing Efficiency: To maintain a low memory footprint while preserving detail, the entire ship is textured using only 2k resolution textures.

Modeling & UV Optimization: The asset utilizes a hybrid workflow to balance fidelity and performance. Large structural hull components feature custom, unique UV sets to maximize texel density on primary surfaces. For secondary structures and repeating detail meshes, I employed a modular trim sheet workflow.

Baking & Texturing: The low-poly base mesh was developed from a high-poly sculpt, with all surface detail, paneling, and micro-machinery baked down within Substance Painter to ensure sharp, high-quality results in-engine.

Unreal Engine 5 Integration: The ship is fully game-ready. I implemented a robust LOD (Level of Detail) chain in Unreal Engine 5 to optimize draw calls and memory footprint during active gameplay.

Lighting & Presentation: The scene features a custom-calibrated space HDR setup, designed to provide high-contrast reflections and striking rim lighting that accentuates the vessel's monolithic geometry against the deep space backdrop.
